Student 1: “Madilyn”

Madilyn worked with us over the summer to improve her SAT® and ACT® verbal and writing scores. She had taken the SAT® exam previously and had received a 590 in Reading and a 610 in Writing, with a 6 on the essay. After two months of intense work, meeting three times a week for ninety minutes each, she took the tests again and broke 700s in both, with a 700 in Reading and a 720 in Writing. Her essay score improved to an 8. She continued on with us for coaching in college admissions and was accepted into several of her top schools, including her top choice, Drexel.

Student 2: “Henry”

Henry had never previously taken the SAT® exam, but wanted to make sure that he did well on the verbal sections (he said he had the math well in hand, which he did!). He worked with us for four months, meeting once a week. On his first try at the test, he scored a perfect 800 on both the Reading and Writing sections, as well as a solid 10 on the essay. He continued on with us for tutoring for AP® English, earning a 5, and for college admissions, earning admission to U Chicago, one of the most prestigious schools in the U.S. and one of his top choices.

Student 3: “Mizuki”

Mizuki had been prepping hard on her own, but wanted some final tutoring before she took the SAT® exam. After only a month of tutoring, and with much dedication on her own part, she took it again and received a stunning 2390. She continued on to work with us for college admissions, especially on her essay, and was accepted into many of her top choices, including Dartmouth, Yale, and Chicago. She chose Dartmouth, which is lucky to have her.

Student 4: “Shane”

Shane need to improve his score on the ACT® exam, and had only a month before the test. After just four tutoring sessions over that month, he was able to raise his scores from a 23 on the English and a 24 on the Reading to a 28 on the English and a brilliant 32 on the Reading. After being pointed in the right direction, he was off like an arrow!

Student 5: “Shashank”

Shashank worked with us over the summer to improve his SAT® verbal and writing scores. He had taken the test previously and had received a 580 in Reading and a 550 in Writing, with an 8 on the essay. After two months of tutoring, meeting twice a week for ninety minutes, he took the test again and earned a 620 in Reading and a 600 in Writing, with his essay improving to a fabulous 11.

Student 6: “Nicholas”

Nicholas worked with us once a week for almost two years, on the SAT® and ACT® exams, on his AP® exams, and on his college admissions essays. He had never taken either test previously. The first time he took the SAT® exam, he received a 650 on the Reading and a 530 on the Writing. After a few more months of work, he took it again and earned a 680 on the Reading and a 700 on the Writing! His ACT® scores improved from 31 on the Reading to 33 and from 29 on English to 32. He went on to score a 5 on his AP® English test and to be accepted to his top choice of UPenn.

Student 7: “Matt”

Matt worked with us once a week from his freshman year of high school to his senior year, prepping early and with great determination for the SAT® and ACT® exams, and then eventually for the AP® English test and college admissions. On his first try at the SAT® exam, he earned a 720 on the Reading and a 780 on the Writing, and on his second, he was able to improve his Reading score to a perfect 800. Matt not only excelled on that test, but earned absolutely perfect 36s on the Reading and English portions of the ACT® exam on his second try as well!
